In grand Beck tradition, Andy has endearingly labeled Madi a rotten teenager (a loving Grandpa phrase). Happy thirteenth birthday, Madi! Here’s how we celebrated.
We made solar red velvet cake, and used the freezer in the captain’s lounge to add vanilla ice cream layers. The girls smothered it in fresh whipped cream and lots of sprinkles. Ice cream and cake are special to us Tango folks, and it was a gift to Madi to let her make and decorate her own cake.
Max helped by attacking all the fluff and homemade pom poms to decorate the gifts.
Per her dinner order, Andy whipped up his special curry fried rice and we stuffed ourselves. Later in the evening, we welcomed old friends of Robin’s into the marina and shared cake and a birthday song. At the end of the day, Madi declared it to be exactly what she wanted. Mission accomplished.
Happy birthday you rotten teenager. Sounds like a wonderful day! Miss you and the not yet rotten Peyton. Love Hank, Lisa and Sydney.
We miss you all too! Cruising sans Haanli isn’t as much fun!
