On Tuesday we ended up anchoring at White Cay in a nice little anchorage. The wind was on our nose all day, and the seas were very choppy, so we were happy to stop a bit earlier than we’d originally planned. It’s a very pretty anchorage, and in different weather I’m sure it is amazing. We had wind and rain all evening, so it was hard to sleep as we kept spinning around over our anchor line. Every time that happened, we’d pop up to double check so we didn’t drag onto the rocky cliffs behind us.
We sailed into Nassau harbor around 3PM today. We could see Atlantis and all its glory for many hours on the horizon. The girls are so excited, that they spent hours trying to figure out from the architecture they could see where different slides and attractions were located.

If you look very closely you can see Atlantis on the horizon. I didn’t want to take my camera up on deck and either drop it, or get splooshed
We got into the marina, and were greeted by an old friend off Amekaya from our Herrington Harbour days! He is in the same marina, helping a friend sail his boat over from Miami…the sailing community is such a small world. Too bad were were too tired to hang out tonight for painkillers…perhaps tomorrow. π
That is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your journey!
You guys are doing great. To think it was just a few short months ago you took that first offshore baby step. We’re proud of you. cool that you saw the fellow from Amekaya. Small world indeed.
We miss cruising with you!! Headed to Allens Cay next…come join us? π
