I’ve always had a personal belief that, if you are traveling from point A to point B, it’s a good idea not to die somewhere along the way. Agree? Regardless…this little beauty that you see before you will help us to do just that. It’s called an Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon or EPIRB. This device will send out a signal to a satellite network and will alert authorities that we have suffered a catastrophic failure with our vessel. (You know…sinking.) That signal will allow rescuers to pinpoint our location pretty much anywhere on the planet. Hopefully we will never have to test it out but it’s nice to know we can call on it if we need it.
